CCNSG Safety Passport Scheme

   

The CCNSG Safety Passport Scheme is a nationally recognised Engineering Industries qualification. Many companies insist on personnel holding the qualification before allowing them access to a site or premises. The course gives basic knowledge of Health and Safety to employees and increases their awareness of the hazards and risks associated with their work. The ECITB - CCNSG Safety Passport is valid for three years, after this period renewal consists of a one day refresher course.

Course Outcomes;
By the end of the course, delegates should be able to:

  • Explain Health and Safety law and permits to work
  • Outline safe working practices relating to scaffolding
  • Outline safe working practices for access and egress
  • Describe accident and first aid procedures
  • Explain fire precautions and procedures
  • Define COSHH and personal protective equipment
  • Explain the theories of Manual Handling
  • Outline noise procedures and practices
  • Define the regulations for working with cranes and heavy equipment
  • Outline excavation procedures and practices

Duration;
Two-day course

Assessment;
Each module of the Safety Passport is assessed through multiple choice question papers with the examination pass mark for each paper set at 80%. 

Important Information;
Two passport sized photographs and a national insurance number are required by each delegate on the first day of this course. Delegates are awarded the ECITB - CCNSG Safety Passport on successful completion of the course.
